An Estate Agent's Obligation To You

Your estate agent, whether they represent the seller or the buyer, is legally obligated to:

• Put their client's interests above anyone else's
• Keep their client's information confidential
• Obey their client's lawful instructions;
• Report to their client anything that would be useful
• Account to their client for any money involved
• Before you start working with an estate agent, ask them for clarification of their understanding of regulations and the agent’s responsibilities.
